About the Clout round

Clout is long distance archery: arrows are lofted to land as close as possible to a flag 180 yards away for gentlemen and 140 for ladies (165 and 125 metres in the World Archery version), and scored by rings marked on the ground, 5 nearest the flag down to 1. A single clout is 36 arrows for a maximum of 180, and most tournaments shoot a double.
